Elecampane. Nature: hot in the third degree, wet in the second; according to others, dry in the second. Optimum: the best is from the vegetable garden, cultivated. Benefit: it opens up obstructions, is useful for the heart, cleanses the chest of thick humours. Harm: it causes headaches and diminishes the blood. Remedy for harm: with sugar, almond oil, vinegar and salt. Effects: hot, bad blood. Advisable for cold and dry [temperaments], very old people, in winter and in northern [regions].

Enula. Complexio: calida in 3º, humida in 2º alias sicca in 2º. Electio: melior est ortulana domestica. Iuuamentum: aperit opilationes confert cordi mundifficat pectus ab humoribus grossis. Nocumentum: causat sodam et minuit sanguinem. Remotio nocumenti: cum cucaro oleo amigdalarum aceto et sale. Quid generat: sanguinem calidam non bonum. Conuenit frigidis et siccis et decrepitis, hyeme et septentrionalibus.
